On September 22nd, the now defunct "cardboard buns" shop was opened for a limited six-day period to support Taro Aso's running for the presidential elections. They called themselves the "Arbitrary Supporting Shop" in defence of possible accusations that they were asked to do it by Aso himself. Two large TV were specially brought in and placed in front of the shop to show the latest news of the election. There was even an "Aso cosplayer" who wore an over-sized bow-tie and a huge Aso Taro mask over his head standing outside of the shop.

The Taro Aso souvenir is called the "President Elections Bun" featuring caricature artwork of Aso in the centre of the four other running candidates. The buns come in two colours - black and white with a catchcopy saying "Black or white, let's decide bun" (白黒決着決着まんじゅう）
