Stephanie was probably the first American idol to perform on an Akihabaran stage on November 28, 2008. She came down to Japan specially to perform songs from her new album "Sides" at otagei live house "Dear Stage". She first performed a classic anisong "Moonlight Densetsu" from Sailormoon followed by originals from her new album "The Stars and You" and "Sakura in Mitaka". The mostly Japanese audiences were shy at first but was gradually won over by her singing and kawaii-ness. Newly-turned Japanese fans took pictures of her during the photo-session and bought her latest album which was released in Japan for the first time. Check out the event photos, videos of her performance and a special bakckstage interview with Cherry and Simona!

You're so kawaiii in that outfit!!! I'm happy you were able to have this opportunity to perform in Tokyo. I hope it will be the first of many. ^-^
Loved your interview tooooo
Yay Steph! Totally rocked the stage! Love the outfit and sounded great! I wish I was there to cheer you on! ^^
C'mon guys. "Rock" is not the word that resumes what Stephanie did in Dear Stage... Stephanie's music es really close to the Idol music genre, and this kind of music is tottally opposite to the term "rock"...
I appreciate your afforts for spread the Akiba culture to the foreinger otaku community, but please, respect the Akiba-kei lenguage when you talk about Idol stuff...
Instead "rock" use "burn"...

Greetings.
Haha.. everyone's right in a way. 萌え(Moe) literally means to sprout or blossom but sometimes it is written as (燃え) which is also read as moe but literally means to burn. The latter is used to indicate a higher form or moe. Interestingly, the meaning of "rock" seems to be quite close to "moe" rock 2 /rɒk/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [rok] Show IPA Pronunciation –verb (used without object) 2. to be moved or swayed powerfully with excitement, emotion, etc. Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1) Based on the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2006. tatoeba Kurisu's Hello!
