There are three versions; distributed in mid April, mid May and mid June respectively. But there is a lesser known version, the "pre" version which was released exclusively at the Tokyo Anime Fair in extremely limited copies!

The 4th edition would be sold on June 27 and it comes with a holder box specially designed to keep the 3 free papers. For just 1,300 yen you get a total of 66 pages, four pin-up posters, eight ilustration cards and illustrations from Yamashita Ikuto!

Finally, the most wanted EVA item is the EVA Keitai!!!

On June 5, the Evangelion Ketai SH-06A NERV pre-order began nationwide and ended at 3pm on the same day when all phones were snapped up. Only 20,000 lucky fans can own this phone but due to overwhelming demand they decided to produce more to satisfy the fans.

As of now, Evangelion Store has accepted 27,500 orders and pre-order has ended but Docomo mobile phone shops worldwide would be selling 10,000 more from July to August.

The Nerv phone can access the MAGI system directly and it is a rare case for the MAGI system technology to be passed on to the civilians.

The NERV phone is in understated matt gray with a Hologram Nerv logo on the outside. When you open up the phone, the green futuristic keyboard lights up. On the screen is the Nerv logo and the characteristic Eva font is used throught the phone. Sadamoto's illustrations are used as the screensaver and voices of the characters are used for the mobile phone's sounds.

You can choose from five types of design for the internal OS: NERV, Rei, Asuka, Kaworu or Shinji. When you turn it horizontally, the menu options on the screen becomes 3D and its icons appear to float. What's so cool about this phone is the original EVA emoticon  featuring the characters themselves and the objects you can find in the EVA world.  

There are also mail templates featuring the characters and their famous lines. Find Misato saying "Sabisu, sabisuu"!" or Shinji telling Rei "Waraeba ii to omou yo." Even the frames of various functions like the camera or video are customised to reflect the anime. Find yourself looking from the point of view of the eva cockpit or a TV news program in the anime, and so on.

The NERV phone comes with an original carrying case and for the strap, there is the "50%BE@RBRICK ver.NERV" from the bear brick series. Even the manual for the phone is packaged EVA style.
